The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Damian Malewicki kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Kazimierz Lichucki managed to get in a good position for a shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Bernardo Ado kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lucjan Gierlach. That made the score 2-0 in the 41 minute of play. Lucjan Gierlach took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ildefonso Balesio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ildefonso Balesio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Estudiantes de América had played much better football throughout.
