The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to 20 DE SETEMBRO getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Claudinei de Andrade hit a great ball. In the 13th minute, Marcial Rafel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nereo Sanchez in the 14th minute of play forced 20 DE SETEMBRO's goalkeeper Walmyr Borges to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of WINNING ELEVEN booed when 20 DE SETEMBRO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Guilherme Cosme didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adan Francho in the 24th minute of play forced 20 DE SETEMBRO's goalkeeper Walmyr Borges to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Wágner Miranda managed to get in a good position for a shot. 20 DE SETEMBRO's supporters rose to their feet, but Wágner Miranda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Feliberto Ortle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 36 minutes into the game, Serafino Polo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Walmyr Borges was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 46 minutes into the match, Alessandro Neves dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Feliberto Ortle, 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luiz Guilherme Cosme to make the kick off. After 51 minutes, Luís Neiva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the 20 DE SETEMBRO and the WINNING ELEVEN players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 51st match minute, 20 DE SETEMBRO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Neiva to maneuver through the defense. Feliberto Ortle came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by 20 DE SETEMBRO's Wágner Miranda. But to his dismay, Wágner Miranda quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 59 minutes into the game, Luís Neiva cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Feliberto Ortle was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Feliberto Ortle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Guilherme Cosme in the 64th minute of play. In the 65th minute, Claudinei de Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 71st minute Luís Neiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliberto Ortle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 73 played minutes WINNING ELEVEN got a freekick which was hit by Artemio Abancens. 75 minutes into the match, Luiz Guilherme Cosme notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of WINNING ELEVEN's Feliberto Ortle. Feliberto Ortle was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Artemio Abancens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Walmyr Borges tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd match minute, 20 DE SETEMBRO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cacá Souto to maneuver through the defense. Marcial Rafel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Walmyr Borges made a huge save. A collision led to WINNING ELEVEN getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Nereo Sanchez hit a great ball. Santos Garikoitz kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. In the 93rd minute Wágner Miranda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliberto Ortle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. WINNING ELEVEN's Feliberto Ortle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Guilherme Cosme in the 94th minute of play. 20 DE SETEMBRO's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
