Hernán Losada took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jose Confesor. Jose Confesor dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 6 minutes into the match, Curumalán AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Jarbas Dantas came free, but Amado Ishmael reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pegaso's Jose Confesor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ariel Estefan in the 8th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fermin Deunoro in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amado Ishmael prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Pegaso's Fermin Deunoro in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Curumalán AFC's goalie prevented a goal. When Jarbas Dantas fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pegaso's protests and gave Jarbas Dantas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 37th match minute, Pegaso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jarbas Dantas to maneuver through the defense. Pegaso's Jarbas Dantas quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Santo Astrada, made in the 38th minute of the game. Jose Confesor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ariel Estefan in the 47th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fermin Deunoro made a kick off. Hernán Losada's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jose Confesor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 50th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Alan Velasco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Curumalán AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alan Velasco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jose Confesor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 53 minutes, Alfredo Piboon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pegaso and the Curumalán AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Curumalán AFC's Nicolás Domingo shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 54th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jose Confesor but with some difficulty. Jose Confesor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hernán Losada in the 56th minute of the match. Pegaso's Jarbas Dantas got his second yellow card of the match in the 57th minute. The referee ordered Jarbas Dantas off the ground. A collision led to Pegaso getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Jarbas Dantas hit a great ball. When Alfredo Piboon was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 62 minutes had been played. In the 63rd match minute, Pegaso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Piboon to maneuver through the defense. Alan Velasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jose Confesor having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Pegaso's Anselmo Iraido got a free kick in the 68th minute. After 77 minutes of play, Curumalán AFC's Ariel Estefan made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jose Confesor was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jose Confesor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alan Velasco in the 81st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alan Velasco got free with Jose Confesor in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 90th minute, Alan Velasco fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Ariel Estefan struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Jose Confesor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Curumalán AFC. Pegaso were furious when Cipriano Esdras was red carded, 93 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Pegaso fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 92nd minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 95 minutes, Curumalán AFC's Alan Velasco got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Jose Confesor. Curumalán AFC played a much better game than Pegaso and deserved their victory. The Pegaso players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
