Gudhem's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ezequiel Luke was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Ezequiel Luke could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Sverker Lindgren made a huge save. 16 minutes into the match, Billy Dahlberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adrian Ospetsu. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ezequiel Luke got free with Sverker Lindgren in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Elias Ospetsu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sverker Lindgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ezequiel Luke in the 22nd minute of play. Sverker Lindgren made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Elias Ospetsu sent off a good shot on target. 27 minutes into the match, Gudhem's goalkeeper Sverker Lindgren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ezequiel Luke. Sverker Lindgren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ezequiel Luke went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Estudiantes de América's Elvio Paublo got a free kick in the 35th minute. A collision led to Estudiantes de América getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Anselmo Orlan hit a great ball. Adrian Ospetsu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valter Olofsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After some careless play in the Gudhem defense, Ezequiel Luke kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sverker Lindgren. The Gudhem fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sverker Lindgren should have stopped the shot. If Ezequiel Luke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Gudhem booed when Estudiantes de América was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaias Cutberto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gudhem's Sverker Lindgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ezequiel Luke in the 48th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.
Sverker Lindgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias Ospetsu in the 52nd minute of the match. 53 minutes into the match, Gudhem's goal looked a bit too open when Elvio Paublo came free, but Sverker Lindgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rolando Erasto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gudhem's Sverker Lindgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elias Ospetsu in the 58th minute of play. In the 58thth minute of the game Ezequiel Luke who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gudhem's Sverker Lindgren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sverker Lindgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elvio Paublo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ezequiel Luke in the 65th minute of play forced Gudhem's goalkeeper Sverker Lindgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Gudhem's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Ospetsu came free, but Sverker Lindgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Gudhem's Samuel Sundberg got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 68th minute, Ezequiel Luke left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ezequiel Luke in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sverker Lindgren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elias Ospetsu couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elvio Paublo in the 96th minute of play forced Gudhem's goalkeeper Sverker Lindgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Estudiantes de América fully deserved thier win.
