Sverker Lindgren made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 8 minutes into the match, Nereo Sanchez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sverker Lindgren. Gudhem's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nereo Sanchez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Sverker Lindgren was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nicanor Santana showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 11 minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Gudhem's goal looked a bit too open when Abelardo Raitin came free, but Sverker Lindgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Billy Dahlberg in the 18th minute of play forced WINNING ELEVEN's goalkeeper Feliberto Ortle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Nereo Sanchez could shoot a difficult shot in the 22nd minute, which Sverker Lindgren however easily saved by the left post. In the last second Sverker Lindgren throw himself and got hold of the ball when Abelardo Raitin in the 28thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. WINNING ELEVEN's Feliberto Ortle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Billy Dahlberg in the 34th minute of play. Gudhem's Sverker Lindgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abelardo Raitin in the 39th minute of play. Gudhem's Sverker Lindgren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Gudhem from getting a goal against them. Sverker Lindgren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nereo Sanchez in the 47th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rigoberto Hechter was the one to do the kick off. After 52 played minutes Gudhem got a freekick which was hit by Elias Askestät. In the 53rd minute of the match Nicanor Santana sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sverker Lindgren skillfully saved the ball. Nereo Sanchez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sverker Lindgren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. In the 57th minute Rigoberto Hechter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sverker Lindgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rigoberto Hechter scored 4-0 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sverker Lindgren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sverker Lindgren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nereo Sanchez's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. After 68 played minutes Gudhem got a freekick which was hit by Bo-Erik Söder. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gudhem's goalkeeper Sverker Lindgren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rigoberto Hechter took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sverker Lindgren. Sverker Lindgren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. The supporters of WINNING ELEVEN booed when Gudhem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bo-Erik Söder didn't get a good kick on the ball. WINNING ELEVEN's Feliberto Ortle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save WINNING ELEVEN from getting a goal against them. After 93 minutes, Abelardo Raitin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the WINNING ELEVEN and the Gudhem players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, WINNING ELEVEN's Abelardo Raitin got a free kick in the 93rd minute. When the referee ended the match the WINNING ELEVEN players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
