In the 6th minute, Hernán Losada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of 20 DE SETEMBRO booed when Curumalán AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ariel Estefan didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Curumalán AFC fans' excitement grew in the 12th match minute when Curumalán AFC's Alan Velasco looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ariel Estefan charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ariel Estefan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alan Velasco's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Hélder de Queiroz firmly grabbed it by the left post. If Cristian Quinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 35 played minutes Curumalán AFC got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Quinto. In the 37th minute, Alan Velasco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 41 minutes into the game, Alan Velasco recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hélder de Queiroz. Alan Velasco showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Alan Velasco received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hélder de Queiroz came out and tried to block the shot, but Alan Velasco slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 46th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Hélder de Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Quinto in the 51st minute of the match. Ariel Estefan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Cristian Quinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the 20 DE SETEMBRO defense, Alan Velasco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hélder de Queiroz. The 20 DE SETEMBRO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hélder de Queiroz should have stopped the shot. In the 64th minute Alan Velasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hélder de Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hélder de Queiroz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernán Losada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Clóvis Corrêa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 75th minute Alan Velasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hélder de Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wágner Miranda's late challenge caught a Curumalán AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wágner Miranda helped the player get up and apologised. Hélder de Queiroz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Quinto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hélder de Queiroz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alan Velasco went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Hélder de Queiroz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hernán Losada went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. After 90 minutes, Ariel Estefan made it 8-0 with a short kick to the right side. 20 DE SETEMBRO's Hélder de Queiroz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Curumalán AFC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
