Umberto Cruz acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 3rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ralf Rydberg. After 5 minutes, Frans Berg made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. C.D PAVILHAO 9 F.C.'s Umberto Cruz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 8th match minute, Bograngen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frans Berg to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Bograngen's Frans Berg slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Umberto Cruz. That made the score 2-0 after 14 minutes of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Börje Ryberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bograngen's supporters rose to their feet, but Börje Ryberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Umberto Cruz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Enio Guerra struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Bengt-Arne Olsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.D PAVILHAO 9 F.C.. A hard shot 27 in the game by Frans Berg from a close distance when the talented Umberto Cruz managed to make a qualified save. C.D PAVILHAO 9 F.C.'s players were relieved. After 37 played minutes C.D PAVILHAO 9 F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Paulo Cavalcante. Frans Berg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Umberto Cruz having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edu Nogueira to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Paulo Cavalcante in the 54th minute of play forced Bograngen's goalkeeper Bengt-Arne Olsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elof Abrahamsson's late challenge caught a C.D PAVILHAO 9 F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elof Abrahamsson helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of C.D PAVILHAO 9 F.C. booed when Bograngen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elof Abrahamsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. C.D PAVILHAO 9 F.C.'s Luiz Paulo Cavalcante got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 69 minutes, Börje Ryberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bograngen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Börje Ryberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 73 minutes into the game, Börje Ryberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bograngen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.D PAVILHAO 9 F.C. the free kick. After 73 played minutes Bograngen got a freekick which was hit by Börje Ryberg. If Enio Guerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bograngen were furious when Michael Hammarström was red carded, 77 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 77th minute, one of Bograngen:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Bograngen. The referee gave C.D PAVILHAO 9 F.C. a penalty, 81 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dieguinho dos Santos, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Bograngen's Bengt-Arne Olsson. 2-1. After a rather tough play, C.D PAVILHAO 9 F.C.'s Dieguinho dos Santos got a free kick in the 84th minute. Bengt-Arne Olsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dieguinho dos Santos in the 86th minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, C.D PAVILHAO 9 F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ralf Rydberg came free, but Umberto Cruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. C.D PAVILHAO 9 F.C.'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
