In the 4thth minute of the game Fabricio Felipo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Linköpings AIK's Jonatan Andersson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 7th minute, Bengt-Åke Thidén hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonatan Andersson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alejandro Gauargi in the 13th minute of the match. Jonatan Andersson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabricio Felipo in the 14th minute of play. In the 17th match minute, Filial Los Canarios was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabricio Felipo to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute Bengt-Åke Thidén shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paolo Firman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the game, Robert Jansson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Linköpings AIK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Filial Los Canarios the free kick. Linköpings AIK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rickard Hedlund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Fabricio Felipo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Filial Los Canarios's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabricio Felipo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonatan Andersson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonatan Andersson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alejandro Gauargi in the 45th minute of the match. Jonatan Andersson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Frederik, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After the first half Filial Los Canarios were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rickard Hedlund stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Filial Los Canarios's Fabricio Felipo got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paolo Firman came out of the goal and Bengt-Åke Thidén tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 81st minute, Wilfredo Rivero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paolo Firman came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Linköpings AIK's Bengt-Åke Thidén. But to his dismay, Bengt-Åke Thidén quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 86 minutes into the match, Linköpings AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Alejandro Gauargi came free, but Jonatan Andersson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabricio Felipo came free with the goalkeeper in the 88th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jonatan Andersson could save by the left post. 90 minutes had been played when some careless play by Linköpings AIK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Atilano Cordareo was slow to take the kick. During this time Filial Los Canarios's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Filial Los Canarios's corner Atilano Cordareo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jonatan Andersson quite easily take care of the ball. Bengt-Åke Thidén fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paolo Firman having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
