The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes Linköpings AIK got a freekick which was hit by Olof Brolin. Gervasio Dei didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rickard Hedlund went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Chanchos defense, Bengt-Åke Thidén kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gervasio Dei. The Chanchos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gervasio Dei should have stopped the shot. In the 20th match minute, Chanchos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Melquiades Selmo to maneuver through the defense. Petter Billberg took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gervasio Dei. Chanchos's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 26 minutes into the game, Rickard Hedlund cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Gervasio Dei was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Linköpings AIK defense, Melquiades Selmo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonatan Andersson. The Linköpings AIK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonatan Andersson should have stopped the shot. Gervasio Dei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rickard Hedlund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th match minute, Chanchos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rosendo Estevez to maneuver through the defense. Chanchos's Gervasio Dei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rickard Hedlund in the 41st minute of play. After 44 minutes of play, Linköpings AIK's Rickard Hedlund made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gervasio Dei was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Chanchos players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Linköpings AIK were winning 1-5.

Abel Ursino hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Melquiades Selmo kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Rickard Hedlund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gervasio Dei having to interfere. Gervasio Dei was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rickard Hedlund showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-6 in the 61 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Linköpings AIK's Petter Billberg got a free kick in the 64th minute. The throw-in from Valter Källberg in the 65th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Chanchos's Isidoro Oalo. After a rather tough play, Linköpings AIK's Olof Brolin got a free kick in the 66th minute. Bengt-Åke Thidén sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd minute, Hipolito Gervaso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 74th minute of the match Östen Anundsson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gervasio Dei showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Chanchos's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Rickard Hedlund 76 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-7. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bengt-Åke Thidén got free with Gervasio Dei in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 84 minutes into the match, Linköpings AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Nicanor Nabar came free, but Jonatan Andersson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olof Brolin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Gervasio Dei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gervasio Dei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rickard Hedlund in the 93rd minute of the match. Isidoro Oalo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonatan Andersson having to interfere. When the match was over Linköpings AIK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Chanchos throughout the match.
