In the 10th minute, Michal Orling ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonatan Andersson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Jonatan Andersson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barnaba Kociniewski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner ended in Olof Brolin almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Emalia Olkusz's Michal Michallek did a great save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rickard Hedlund made a kick off. Bengt-Åke Thidén's late challenge caught a Emalia Olkusz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bengt-Åke Thidén helped the player get up and apologised. In the 51st match minute, Linköpings AIK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bengt-Åke Thidén to maneuver through the defense. Emalia Olkusz's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Linköpings AIK the free kick. The supporters of Linköpings AIK booed when Emalia Olkusz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aleksander Orlicki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonatan Andersson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aleksander Orlicki, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Jonatan Andersson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. Emalia Olkusz's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
