When Bernardino Odon came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Grütly fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernardino Odon couldn't finish the play. 8 minutes into the match, Onsala Ass Kickers's goal looked a bit too open when Gavino Lia came free, but Thomas Hägglund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gavino Lia in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thomas Hägglund prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 12 minutes into the match, Grütly's goalkeeper Pedro Pereyra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edwin Sjöberg. When Grütly's Bernardino Odon in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Onsala Ass Kickers's goalie prevented a goal. Thomas Hägglund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardino Odon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Pereyra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edwin Sjöberg in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 24th minute Edwin Sjöberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Pereyra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Onsala Ass Kickers's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardino Odon came free, but Thomas Hägglund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Onsala Ass Kickers's Johannes Stenberg got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 32nd minute Gavino Lia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Hägglund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edwin Sjöberg in the 41st minute of play forced Grütly's goalkeeper Pedro Pereyra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Kåre Bruhn made the kick off in the second half. Kåre Bruhn charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kåre Bruhn the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 53rd minute Gavino Lia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Hägglund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernardino Odon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thomas Hägglund read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Thomas Hägglund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardino Odon, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Grütly were awarded a corner in the 61th minute after Onsala Ass Kickers's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Evaristo Guillem took the corner. After 63 played minutes Onsala Ass Kickers got a freekick which was hit by Axel Uggstedt. 71 minutes into the match, Bernardino Odon dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Thomas Hägglund, 0-2. Mario Ramone hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Humberto Mingo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Thomas Hägglund made a huge save. In the 82nd minute, Donato Tolino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Reynaldo Gimenez kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. In the 85th minute Axel Uggstedt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Pereyra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gavino Lia in the 87th minute of play forced Onsala Ass Kickers's goalkeeper Thomas Hägglund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th match minute, Onsala Ass Kickers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Kilström to maneuver through the defense. Grütly's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
