Spectators: 7484 (Terracing: 5675, Seating: 1739, VIP seats: 70) When Giannis Tzanetos fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ΟΦΗ's protests and gave Giannis Tzanetos a yellow card for diving instead. Mugur Urseanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Theofanis Marinakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Fanis Kokkinopoulos put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Adrian Tarcea. ΟΦΗ's Theofanis Marinakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mugur Urseanu in the 13th minute of play. Adrian Tarcea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nikos Kalkavouras in the 16th minute. In the 18th minute, Nikos Kalkavouras left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ΟΦΗ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Theofanis Marinakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mugur Urseanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Mugur Urseanu came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Yboy Black fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mugur Urseanu couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Giannis Tzanetos in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adrian Tarcea saved Yboy Black from getting behind. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Giannis Tzanetos was the one to do the kick off. Nikos Kalkavouras struck a weak shot in the 50th minute. Adrian Tarcea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ΟΦΗ. The supporters of Yboy Black booed when ΟΦΗ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nikos Kalkavouras didn't get a good kick on the ball.
