In the 17th match minute, SANTOS F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Asım Erseven to maneuver through the defense. Antonio Swiderski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gică Zoreanu in the 19th minute of the match. SANTOS F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Princewill Akprizy Savisaar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivan Strugure breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Asım Erseven did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Ivan Strugure 38 minutes into the match. Almir Perez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Vama Veche ™'s Ivan Strugure got control of the ball when Asım Erseven tried to sneak it across the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
