In the 28th minute Emanuel Şimoc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rigoberto Ilixo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rigoberto Ilixo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Şimoc in the 31st minute of play. Helmuth Duckadam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angulo Cabañero in the 34th minute of play. 35 minutes into the game, one of F.C. YKE:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Astros de México a penalty, 38 minutes into the game. YKE got a freekick which was hit by Nicolae Boboc. The audience was convinced that Guido Salomon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Helmuth Duckadam was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Astros de México's Rigoberto Ilixo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Astros de México from getting a goal against them. When F.C. Rigoberto Ilixo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Şimoc, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stelian Băcioiu in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rigoberto Ilixo saved Astros de México from getting behind. F.C. YKE's Helmuth Duckadam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angulo Cabañero in the 77th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angulo Cabañero in the 77th minute of play forced F.C. YKE's goalkeeper Helmuth Duckadam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rigoberto Ilixo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Şimoc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emanuel Şimoc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rigoberto Ilixo having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Astros de México's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Şimoc came free, but Rigoberto Ilixo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
