An unexpectedly hard shot by Pavel Soare in the 13th minute of play forced Liga de Quito's goalkeeper Jairo Collador to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, F.C. YKE's Helmuth Duckadam got control of the ball when Santo Rubion tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zeruko Freije hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match.
