Spectators: 6994 (Terracing: 5634, Seating: 1300, VIP seats: 60) Liga de Quito's Zeledon Bravain started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mateo Cancel during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 6 played minutes Liga de Quito got a freekick which was hit by Mateo Cancel. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elpidio Udalaitz got free with Jairo Collador in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Liga de Quito's Jairo Collador played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicasio Ongile in the 9th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Nestor Ibaute got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 12 minutes into the game, Pastor Patxi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. EL CERVECERO F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Liga de Quito the free kick. The supporters of Liga de Quito booed when EL CERVECERO F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pastor Patxi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arnaldo Macerio came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Liga de Quito's Zeledon Bravain. But to his dismay, Zeledon Bravain quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Liga de Quito's Santo Rubion got a free kick in the 18th minute. If Zeledon Bravain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. EL CERVECERO F.C.'s Arnaldo Macerio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nestor Ibaute in the 23rd minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Zeledon Bravain had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnaldo Macerio. EL CERVECERO F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zeledon Bravain was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Pastor Patxi was shown his second yellow card after 29 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Pastor Patxi kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Bravain in the 37th minute of play forced EL CERVECERO F.C.'s goalkeeper Arnaldo Macerio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Octavio Guter kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Elpidio Udalaitz made the kick off in the second half. Jairo Collador showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elpidio Udalaitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Elpidio Udalaitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Nicasio Ongile had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 60 played minutes Liga de Quito got a freekick which was hit by Zeledon Bravain. After 64 played minutes Liga de Quito got a freekick which was hit by Santo Rubion. After 65 played minutes EL CERVECERO F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Ospetsu. Aquiles Ferrando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Jairo Collador tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Aquiles Ferrando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aquiles Ferrando blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jairo Collador having to make a save. 83 minutes into the match, EL CERVECERO F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Urbano Pacio came free, but Arnaldo Macerio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elpidio Udalaitz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Liga de Quito were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over EL CERVECERO F.C.'s much stronger midfield.
