Zeledon Bravain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luizinho Catarinense in the 10th minute of play. After some careless play in the Liga de Quito defense, Cléber Queiroz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zeledon Bravain. The Liga de Quito fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zeledon Bravain should have stopped the shot. Zeledon Bravain stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Olavo Leite's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. A collision led to Liga de Quito getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Eduardo Mascareñas hit a great ball. After 20 minutes of play, AllRaf EC's Nilton Hoffmann made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zeledon Bravain was left in no man's land by his defense there! Urbano Pacio struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Davi Freire didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Liga de Quito. With a little luck, AllRaf EC's Davi Freire got control of the ball when Eduardo Mascareñas tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 28th minute, Duarte Trigo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Liga de Quito's Zeledon Bravain played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nilton Hoffmann in the 39th minute of play. Eduardo Mascareñas came free with the goalkeeper in the 40th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Davi Freire could save by the left post. Zeledon Bravain didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Olavo Leite went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Joélson Trigo hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute Olavo Leite shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeledon Bravain saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, Cléber Queiroz notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Liga de Quito's Zeledon Bravain. Zeledon Bravain was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

Cléber Queiroz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Zeledon Bravain made a huge save. Zeledon Bravain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cléber Queiroz, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute.
