The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vítor Dantas in the 19th minute of play forced JKs Talanger's goalkeeper Matthias Fransson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to ADCR Loreto United FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Torcato Carneiro hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in ADCR Loreto United FC's zone, Olov Hellkvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hilário Salgado came out of the goal and Olov Hellkvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. JKs Talanger's Matthias Fransson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato Gago in the 26th minute of play. ADCR Loreto United FC's Carlos Pires was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Matthias Fransson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 35 minutes into the game, Vítor Dantas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Matthias Fransson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Ragnar Fribäck put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Hilário Salgado. Vítor Dantas's late challenge caught a JKs Talanger's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vítor Dantas helped the player get up and apologised. Vítor Dantas hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 44 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Almiro Casado sped through JKs Talanger's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Matthias Fransson. Matthias Fransson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vítor Dantas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Donato Gago got free with Matthias Fransson in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. During the 55th minute of the match Kurt Brummer completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Kurt Brummer a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Kurt Brummer kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Ragnar Fribäck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Hilário Salgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hilário Salgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olov Hellkvist in the 59th minute of play. 60 minutes into the game, Olov Hellkvist cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Hilário Salgado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 67 played minutes JKs Talanger got a freekick which was hit by Olov Hellkvist. Matthias Fransson made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Aldo Mourinho sent off a good shot on target. In the 75th minute Vítor Dantas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matthias Fransson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ADCR Loreto United FC's Hilário Salgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olov Hellkvist in the 77th minute of play. In the 78th minute Olov Hellkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hilário Salgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olov Hellkvist in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hilário Salgado saved ADCR Loreto United FC from getting behind. Matthias Fransson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandre Anjos in the 81st minute of the match. 86 minutes into the game, Donato Gago cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-4. Matthias Fransson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vítor Dantas in the 94th minute of play forced JKs Talanger's goalkeeper Matthias Fransson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over ADCR Loreto United FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than JKs Talanger throughout the match.
