Olavo Vasconcelos was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Felipe Lidon showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. In the 10th match minute, Joystick XXXV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teofilo Leoncio to maneuver through the defense. In the 10th minute of the match Dinei Moraes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benigno Abancens showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 13 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Renatinho Braga sped through Joystick XXXV's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benigno Abancens. Elivélton Maia hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Renatinho Braga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luizinho Castro was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 29 minutes into the match. Luizinho Castro hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After 30 played minutes, Joystick XXXV's Leonel Eufemio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Olavo Vasconcelos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Joystick XXXV reached it. After 34 played minutes Desportiva Paulo Afonso got a freekick which was hit by Anderson Tavares. Artur Rezende hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Benigno Abancens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renatinho Braga, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After a rather tough play, Desportiva Paulo Afonso's Artur Rezende got a free kick in the 52nd minute. 57 minutes into the game, Desportiva Paulo Afonso's Renatinho Braga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benigno Abancens made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After a rather tough play, Joystick XXXV's Leonel Eufemio got a free kick in the 65th minute. Honorio Beila's late challenge caught a Desportiva Paulo Afonso's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Honorio Beila helped the player get up and apologised. Desportiva Paulo Afonso made a substitution. José Vítor de Sena replaced Renatinho Braga. The supporters of Desportiva Paulo Afonso booed when Joystick XXXV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Honorio Beila didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Fernandinho Paes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Desportiva Paulo Afonso's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernandinho Paes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benigno Abancens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Olavo Vasconcelos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Lidon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Joystick XXXV's zone, José Vítor de Sena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benigno Abancens came out of the goal and José Vítor de Sena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 79th match minute, Joystick XXXV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evaristo Lluc to maneuver through the defense. José Vítor de Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Benigno Abancens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute Felipe Lidon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olavo Vasconcelos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Desportiva Paulo Afonso played a much better game than Joystick XXXV and deserved their victory. The Joystick XXXV players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
