Şerafettin Alkın came out of the goal and Wieslaw Tscherner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Boleslaw Drozdowski hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Gilbert Balkiewicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from İzzet Titiz in the 22nd minute of play. Barnaba Latkiewicz scored 3-1 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Şerafettin Alkın, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gilbert Balkiewicz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Peyami Ak in the 70th minute. Barnaba Latkiewicz might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Şerafettin Alkın. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Güralp Durali was shown his second yellow card after 95 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match.
