Veríssimo Bulhosa hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Denis Milio was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 20th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The supporters of FC Beatriz 08 booed when Plaza Jewell was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aldo Oinatz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC Beatriz 08's zone, Filiberto Gar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abel Meira came out of the goal and Filiberto Gar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Modesto Efraim's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abel Meira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Angélico Borges hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filiberto Gar in the 47th minute of play forced FC Beatriz 08's goalkeeper Abel Meira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
