In the 14th match minute, Purcaresti CSS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Costică Pacurar to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute, Avram Ciprian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th minute, Ove Rönn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 27 played minutes Lilla Jordberga BK got a freekick which was hit by Åke Wallmark. Anders Haeger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorin Georgescu in the 30th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eugen Tiberiu in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anders Haeger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 34th match minute, Lilla Jordberga BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Einar Gallberg to maneuver through the defense. In the 35th minute, Sven-Erik Jonsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dinu Aursulesei recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Martin Bacanu fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Purcaresti CSS's protests and gave Martin Bacanu a yellow card for diving instead. Martin Bacanu kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After 44 played minutes, Lilla Jordberga BK's Michael Dubois shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Damian Toader came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lilla Jordberga BK reached it. Anders Haeger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gigi Drăgan in the 47th minute of play. After 47 played minutes Lilla Jordberga BK got a freekick which was hit by Ove Rönn. In the 48th minute of the match Dorin Georgescu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Anders Haeger skillfully saved the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ted Hansson to make the kick off. Sven-Erik Jonsson was shown his second yellow card after 53 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Anders Haeger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugen Tiberiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. After some careless play in the Lilla Jordberga BK defense, Eduard Glodeanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anders Haeger. The Lilla Jordberga BK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anders Haeger should have stopped the shot. After 61 played minutes Lilla Jordberga BK got a freekick which was hit by Åke Wallmark. Anders Haeger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gigi Drăgan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Purcaresti CSS booed when Lilla Jordberga BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Håkan Joensson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd minute, Eugen Tiberiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Eugen Tiberiu fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Purcaresti CSS's protests and gave Eugen Tiberiu a yellow card for diving instead. 81 minutes into the match, Purcaresti CSS's goal looked a bit too open when Håkan Joensson came free, but Damian Toader reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 82 minutes, Håkan Joensson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lilla Jordberga BK and the Purcaresti CSS players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Lilla Jordberga BK booed when Purcaresti CSS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Avram Ciprian didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michael Dubois in the 89th minute of play forced Purcaresti CSS's goalkeeper Damian Toader to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
