The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Jairo Formerio notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of TotoRACING's Jeremias Kismi. Jeremias Kismi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the TotoRACING defense, Apolo Richie kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jeremias Kismi. The TotoRACING fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jeremias Kismi should have stopped the shot. In the 13th minute, Carlos Romo had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Hipolito Nayely managed to get in a good position for a shot. TotoRACING's supporters rose to their feet, but Hipolito Nayely was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amancio Magdaleno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. TotoRACING's Jeremias Kismi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Apolo Richie in the 19th minute of play. TotoRACING's Hipolito Nayely got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Amancio Magdaleno was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hipolito Nayely showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 26 minute of play. Baltasar Rios hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Rafael Illart, 30 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 31st minute, TotoRACING's Elvio Quinten dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. 36 minutes into the game, TotoRACING's Hipolito Nayely nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Amancio Magdaleno made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. When NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Antonio Mundo in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye TotoRACING's goalie prevented a goal. Apolo Richie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Jeremias Kismi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, TotoRACING's goal looked a bit too open when Jairo Formerio came free, but Jeremias Kismi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-2 at half-time.

56 minutes into the game, one of NEWELL´S OLD BOYS:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave TotoRACING a penalty, 58 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rafael Illart, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Amancio Magdaleno. 5-2. TotoRACING's Jeremias Kismi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Apolo Richie in the 61st minute of play. Jeremias Kismi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baltasar Rios in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 65th minute Baltasar Rios shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremias Kismi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 69 minutes into the match, Baltasar Rios notched a goal, 5-3, to the right of TotoRACING's Jeremias Kismi. Jeremias Kismi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 73rd minute Baltasar Rios shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremias Kismi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 74th minute, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Artemio Goiz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jeremias Kismi. Jeremias Kismi yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-4. Jeremias Kismi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Apolo Richie in the 77th minute of play. The supporters of TotoRACING booed when NEWELL´S OLD BOYS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Dei didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute of the match Rafael Illart sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Amancio Magdaleno skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Higinio Romelio in the 81st minute of play forced NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's goalkeeper Amancio Magdaleno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Jeremias Kismi threw himself towards the right post 83 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Apolo Richie, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Jeremias Kismi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jairo Formerio in the 85th minute of play. With a little luck, TotoRACING's Jeremias Kismi got control of the ball when Artemio Goiz tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's zone, Higinio Romelio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amancio Magdaleno came out of the goal and Higinio Romelio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of NEWELL´S OLD BOYS booed when TotoRACING was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Igor Mikolas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 92 minutes into the match, TotoRACING's goal looked a bit too open when Apolo Richie came free, but Jeremias Kismi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute of the match NEWELL´S OLD BOYS got a corner. TotoRACING's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Apolo Richie ran over to the corner to take the kick. Jairo Formerio kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. 98 minutes into the game, Elvio Quinten cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-4. Amancio Magdaleno was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. TotoRACING's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
