Spectators: 7608 (Terracing: 5707, Seating: 1750, VIP seats: 151) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Severo Ado started the match with the kick off. Emilio Galindo was out of position in the 12 minute of play, and Mingo Torrente capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mingo Torrente really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. The supporters of Newells Old Boys booed when La France FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severo Ado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emilio Galindo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mingo Torrente showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 17 minute of play. Emilio Galindo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mingo Torrente went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to La France FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Cleto Peru hit a great ball. Froilan Rafe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severo Ado in the 25th minute of play. After 26 played minutes La France FC got a freekick which was hit by Dani Amato. If Severo Ado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mingo Torrente hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After 30 played minutes, La France FC's Anier Matteo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Froilan Rafe came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in La France FC reached it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Severo Ado in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Froilan Rafe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 32nd minute, Guillermo Ovando got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 37 minutes into the game, Anacleto Clementi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Emilio Galindo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to La France FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Cirilo Ranolfo hit a great ball. Severo Ado scored 4-1 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Froilan Rafe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mingo Torrente stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dani Amato was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 52 minutes into the match. Dani Amato kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Emilio Galindo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anacleto Clementi in the 54th minute of play. Newells Old Boys were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after La France FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mingo Torrente took the corner. After taking down the ball on Newells Old Boys's corner Anacleto Clementi fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Emilio Galindo quite easily take care of the ball. 58 minutes into the game, Jorge Lizar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Newells Old Boys's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La France FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Newells Old Boys's Jorge Lizar got a free kick in the 58th minute. In the 60th minute, Maximino Martino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emilio Galindo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mingo Torrente in the 63rd minute of the match. After some careless play in the La France FC defense, Mingo Torrente kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emilio Galindo. The La France FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emilio Galindo should have stopped the shot. Severo Ado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emilio Galindo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mingo Torrente, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 75th minute, Mingo Torrente ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emilio Galindo was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. Guillermo Ovando took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emilio Galindo. Emilio Galindo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-1. Severo Ado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Froilan Rafe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Anacleto Clementi charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anacleto Clementi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Newells Old Boys getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Anacleto Clementi hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Newells Old Boys's zone, Severo Ado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Froilan Rafe came out of the goal and Severo Ado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. La France FC's Anastasio Bibiano managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Nestor Tabb in the 91 minute of the game. 92 minutes into the game, Nestor Tabb threw the ball into play from the sideline. La France FC's Lino Beat quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. There was no doubt that Newells Old Boys were the better team. Newells Old Boys's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
