Adam de Reyck dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The supporters of Olavarria FC booed when Newells Old Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Ovando didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestor Tabb in the 10th minute of play forced Olavarria FC's goalkeeper Adam de Reyck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adam de Reyck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nestor Tabb, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 25 minutes into the game, Newells Old Boys's Mingo Torrente nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adam de Reyck made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Noel Moerman charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Noel Moerman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Noel Moerman hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Adam de Reyck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Generoso Eyague in the 29th minute of play. Guillermo Ovando recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Olavarria FC's Adam de Reyck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mingo Torrente in the 37th minute of play. Noel Moerman was shown his second yellow card after 38 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 38th minute, Noel Moerman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adam de Reyck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guillermo Ovando, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 43rd match minute, Olavarria FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herald Dujardin to maneuver through the defense. Adam de Reyck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mingo Torrente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 59 played minutes Olavarria FC got a freekick which was hit by Robbin Meeus. Adam de Reyck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Generoso Eyague, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nestor Tabb received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Adam de Reyck didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Guillermo Ovando went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-8 was the resulting score. Adam de Reyck was out of position in the 80 minute of play, and Guillermo Ovando capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Guillermo Ovando really showed his touch with that goal: 0-9. Olavarria FC's Adam de Reyck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mingo Torrente in the 88th minute of play. After 90 minutes, Guillermo Ovando made it 0-11 with a short kick to the right side. Olavarria FC's Adam de Reyck tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
