Spectators: 7541 (Terracing: 5657, Seating: 1734, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Therkild Prendorf kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute, Therkild Prendorf hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Therkild Prendorf took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gigel Rânceanu. Gigel Rânceanu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After a rather tough play, Fotbal Club Vaslui's Mugurel Răduț got a free kick in the 11th minute. Gigel Rânceanu made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Therkild Prendorf sent off a good shot on target. Costică Mangra had several of the Fotbal Club Vaslui's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 15 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Gigel Rânceanu as he didn't even see the shot coming. The crowd rose to their feet as UFC STEAUA's Emanuel Gheorghe slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gigel Rânceanu. That made the score 3-0 after 22 minutes of play. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Therkild Prendorf took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Gigel Rânceanu to make any attempt to save it. 33 minutes into the game, Víglundur von der Schulenburg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fotbal Club Vaslui's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UFC STEAUA the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Fotbal Club Vaslui fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 36th minute. Penalty! The referee gave UFC STEAUA a penalty, 37 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ernest Obreja, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Fotbal Club Vaslui's Gigel Rânceanu. 6-0. Gigel Rânceanu didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 40th minute, which inside left pole to 7-0. 44 minutes into the game, Therkild Prendorf cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Gigel Rânceanu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 8-0.

The wind increased when Andrei Vârjean made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, UFC STEAUA's Eliodor Bărăian got a free kick in the 58th minute. Gigel Rânceanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Gheorghe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Fotbal Club Vaslui defense, Therkild Prendorf kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gigel Rânceanu. The Fotbal Club Vaslui fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gigel Rânceanu should have stopped the shot. Costică Mangra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Gigel Rânceanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st minute Therkild Prendorf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigel Rânceanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Therkild Prendorf took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gigel Rânceanu. Gigel Rânceanu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 10-0. Gigel Rânceanu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Therkild Prendorf went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 11-0 was the resulting score. Emanuel Gheorghe kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. In the 95th minute, Eliodor Bărăian made a precise shot to the right of Gigel Rânceanu. Fotbal Club Vaslui's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 12-0.
