Springplank FC's Jari Litmanen got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Taco Bouma hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Gijs Schaap made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mário Dubinský in the 35th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michal Hanuščak in the 36th minute of play forced Springplank FC's goalkeeper Gijs Schaap to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ferdi Reis scored 2-2 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Daniel Vengloš, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Daniel Vengloš showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferdi Reis, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Jari Litmanen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Vengloš having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-3 lead.
The wind increased when Mário Dubinský made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Springplank FC's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Ruďák came free, but Gijs Schaap reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Springplank FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-5. After 80 minutes of play, V.K.DRINK Hermanovce's Richard Bodnár made it 3-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gijs Schaap was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of V.K.DRINK Hermanovce booed when Springplank FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferdi Reis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gijs Schaap showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michal Hanuščak in the 84th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Jari Litmanen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Daniel Vengloš. That made the score 3-6 in the 85 minute of play. In the 90th minute Ferdi Reis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Vengloš saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, Springplank FC's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Bodnár came free, but Gijs Schaap reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
