The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alin Partenadze made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Eraldo Trotta sent off a good shot on target. Florian Bergomi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Alin Partenadze made a huge save. The supporters of Supremacy Catania FC booed when FC Alinborger Galați was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gigel Pencu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alin Partenadze showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peppe Mascara, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Florian Bergomi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alin Partenadze. That made the score 2-0 in the 13 minute of play. FC Alinborger Galați's Flavius Nițulescu managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Aldo Paganelli in the 17 minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nae Hodorog in the 20th minute of play forced Supremacy Catania FC's goalkeeper Emiliano Ruscitti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alin Partenadze took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Arioli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alin Partenadze showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eraldo Trotta, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. After 26 played minutes FC Alinborger Galați got a freekick which was hit by Gigel Pencu. After a defensive mix-up in FC Alinborger Galați's zone, Eraldo Trotta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alin Partenadze came out of the goal and Eraldo Trotta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alin Partenadze made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eraldo Trotta in the 28th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 31 minutes into the game, when Gigel Pencu put in a rough tackle. 45 minutes into the match, FC Alinborger Galați's Alin Partenskiy sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emiliano Ruscitti narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alin Partenadze made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diego Arioli in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Alin Partenadze showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eraldo Trotta in the 51st minute of the match. Alin Partenadze made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Arioli in the 52nd minute of play. FC Alinborger Galați's Alin Partenadze played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eraldo Trotta in the 53rd minute of play. After some careless play in the FC Alinborger Galați defense, Eraldo Trotta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alin Partenadze. The FC Alinborger Galați fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alin Partenadze should have stopped the shot. After having played for 60 minutes, Florian Bergomi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Supremacy Catania FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Florian Bergomi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alin Partenadze didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Florian Bergomi went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Alin Partenadze dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. 71 minutes into the game, Aldo Paganelli threw the ball into play from the sideline. FC Alinborger Galați's Alin Parten quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 74th play minutes Eraldo Trotta shot 7-0, a short shot which went by Alin Partenadze and just under the crossbar into goal. FC Alinborger Galați's Alin Partenadze played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peppe Mascara in the 77th minute of play. After 85 played minutes FC Alinborger Galați got a freekick which was hit by Florin Goicea. In the 87th minute, Nae Hodorog hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Peppe Mascara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 90 minutes, Flavius Nițulescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Alinborger Galați and the Supremacy Catania FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Flavius Nițulescu hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Alin Partenadze made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eraldo Trotta in the 94th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florian Bergomi in the 95th minute of play forced FC Alinborger Galați's goalkeeper Alin Partenadze to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alin Partenadze showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Arioli, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. When the referee ended the match the Supremacy Catania FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
