Black StarZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gilson Guedes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 11thth minute of the game Gilson Guedes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Black StarZ's Amancio Berbiz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 13 minutes of play, Black StarZ's Javier Clementi made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfredo Paes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eustaquio Llorienzo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Alfredo Paes made a huge save. Through an outstanding action, after 17 minutes, Alfredo Paes successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. IGUIPORÃ FC's attentive Eduardo Barral managed to snatch the ball when Albano Orlondon made a throw-in in the 22nd minute of the game. Gilson Guedes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some careless play in the Black StarZ defense, Cacá Paulista kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amancio Berbiz. The Black StarZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amancio Berbiz should have stopped the shot. Amancio Berbiz came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by IGUIPORÃ FC's Jardel Félix. But to his dismay, Jardel Félix quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Amancio Berbiz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduardo Barral, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Benjamin Mannie kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. In the 46th minute of the match IGUIPORÃ FC got a corner. Black StarZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Elivélton Cerezo ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Black StarZ's goalie and right to Álvaro Dionísio. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Black StarZ's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The crowd rose to their feet as Gilson Guedes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Amancio Berbiz. That made the score 1-5 in the 55 minute of play. Amancio Berbiz stood somewhat misplaced when Eugênio Favoretto came free in front of goal and shot 1-6 to the left of him in the 58 minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Guga Rossi managed to get in a good position for a shot. IGUIPORÃ FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Guga Rossi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amancio Berbiz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Feliciano Natanael hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. A collision led to IGUIPORÃ FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Antônio Carlos Soares hit a great ball. IGUIPORÃ FC made a substitution. Víktor dos Santos replaced Antônio Carlos Soares. Black StarZ's Amancio Berbiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cacá Paulista in the 73rd minute of play. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Black StarZ's goalkeeper Amancio Berbiz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. IGUIPORÃ FC made a substitution. Perivaldo Veloso replaced Eduardo Barral. In the 79th minute of the match IGUIPORÃ FC got a corner. In the 89th minute Javier Clementi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Paes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 91 minutes into the match, Black StarZ's goal looked a bit too open when Gilson Guedes came free, but Amancio Berbiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th match minute, Black StarZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Javier Clementi to maneuver through the defense. When IGUIPORÃ FC's Gilson Guedes in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Black StarZ's goalie prevented a goal.
