In the 29th minute, one of América Magics Fc:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for América Magics Fc. Fabian Martino's late challenge caught a IGUIPORÃ FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabian Martino helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, América Magics Fc's Fabian Martino got a free kick in the 40th minute. Cirilo Blasco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cacá Paulista in the 47th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 54th minute, Gaudencio Isidor left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The América Magics Fc fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Procopio in the 60th minute of play forced IGUIPORÃ FC's goalkeeper Alfredo Paes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. América Magics Fc's Cirilo Blasco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save América Magics Fc from getting a goal against them.
