Spectators: 7504 (Terracing: 5629, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Demetrio Borrelli started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Cesate's Adriano Di Marco got a free kick in the 3rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eraldo Di Matteo in the 7th minute of play forced Möhnsen FC's goalkeeper Hermann Althaus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 8 minutes Möhnsen FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Adriano Di Marco who took care of the corner kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ennio Grasso in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hermann Althaus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Magliocco got free with Hermann Althaus in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hermann Althaus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Demetrio Borrelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frank Magliocco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Hermann Althaus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fortunato Proia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rudi Georgii in the 30th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute Arndt Heil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fortunato Proia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute Edson Neidlein shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fortunato Proia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fortunato Proia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rudi Georgii went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Fortunato Proia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xerxes Kamper, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. In the 44th minute, Rudi Georgii ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fortunato Proia was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

52 minutes into the match, Cesate's goalkeeper Fortunato Proia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xerxes Kamper. Fortunato Proia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arndt Heil in the 53rd minute of play. When Möhnsen FC's Arndt Heil in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cesate's goalie prevented a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Demetrio Borrelli during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fortunato Proia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edson Neidlein in the 65th minute of the match. In the 66th minute, Adriano Di Marco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arndt Heil during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Edson Neidlein sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 78thth minute of the game Ennio Grasso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Möhnsen FC's Hermann Althaus was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 79 minutes into the match, Cesate's goal looked a bit too open when Xerxes Kamper came free, but Fortunato Proia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Demetrio Borrelli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermann Althaus having to interfere. In the 87th minute Rudi Georgii shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fortunato Proia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xerxes Kamper received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fortunato Proia came out and tried to block the shot, but Xerxes Kamper slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 90th minute.
