A collision led to TÜRKİSTAN 61 getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Çelebi Irak hit a great ball. Zamalek FC's Malcolm Neal got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 11th minute, Affan Talaykut hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Junior Smart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Malcolm Neal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zamalek FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Malcolm Neal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kubilay Talay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of TÜRKİSTAN 61 booed when Zamalek FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carson Sherrill didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind TÜRKİSTAN 61's goalkeeper Kubilay Talay, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Malcolm Neal came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Zamalek FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Malcolm Neal couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Zamalek FC's Malcolm Neal got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Ricardo Wong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehmet Edip Otay in the 34th minute of play. If Carson Sherrill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Çelebi Irak blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ricardo Wong having to make a save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Malcolm Neal to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carson Sherrill got free with Kubilay Talay in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 59th minute, Carson Sherrill reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kubilay Talay. The goal made the score 0-1. If Gilbert Jordan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Affan Talaykut hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute, Eddie Pelletier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carson Sherrill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kubilay Talay having to interfere. The supporters of Zamalek FC booed when TÜRKİSTAN 61 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arkın Çağlayan didn't get a good kick on the ball. TÜRKİSTAN 61's Kubilay Talay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Malcolm Neal in the 79th minute of play. In the 79th minute, Malcolm Neal made a precise shot to the right of Kubilay Talay. TÜRKİSTAN 61's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Carson Sherrill's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kubilay Talay read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. In the 88thth minute of the game Malcolm Neal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but TÜRKİSTAN 61's Kubilay Talay was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Instead of passing the ball, Carson Sherrill made a really hard long shot towards goal. TÜRKİSTAN 61's Kubilay Talay realized he got lucky when he saw the ball passing the outside of the left post. In the 90th minute, Malcolm Neal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carson Sherrill recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match was over Zamalek FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than TÜRKİSTAN 61 throughout the match.
