The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th match minute, CF JABATOS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaac Martino to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Zamalek FC defense, Bernardino Ignazio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ricardo Wong. The Zamalek FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ricardo Wong should have stopped the shot. Malcolm Neal struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Zacarias Santo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zamalek FC. When Isaac Martino was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 18 minutes had been played. When Erubiel Cuartio came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the CF JABATOS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erubiel Cuartio couldn't finish the play. In the 22nd match minute, CF JABATOS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erubiel Cuartio to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Bernardino Ignazio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricardo Wong was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. In the 25th play minute Bernardino Ignazio came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ricardo Wong. 2-0. Malcolm Neal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zacarias Santo having to interfere. Zacarias Santo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Malcolm Neal's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. If Melchor Gurutz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carson Sherrill in the 47th minute of play forced CF JABATOS's goalkeeper Zacarias Santo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bernardino Ignazio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to CF JABATOS getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Erubiel Cuartio hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Junior Smart got free with Zacarias Santo in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 56 minutes into the game, Zamalek FC's Carson Sherrill nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zacarias Santo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Zacarias Feliz kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. When Zamalek FC's Malcolm Neal in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CF JABATOS's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in CF JABATOS's zone, Malcolm Neal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zacarias Santo came out of the goal and Malcolm Neal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, CF JABATOS's Delmiro Izotz got a free kick in the 71st minute. 73 minutes into the game, Zamalek FC's Carson Sherrill nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zacarias Santo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Carson Sherrill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. CF JABATOS's Zacarias Santo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save CF JABATOS from getting a goal against them. Erubiel Cuartio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute Bernardino Ignazio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Wong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erubiel Cuartio's late challenge caught a Zamalek FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erubiel Cuartio helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to CF JABATOS getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Erubiel Cuartio hit a great ball. Zamalek FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
