In the 44th minute of the match Sydney Pernambucano sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pedrinho Mandrak skillfully saved the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Ceilândia Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandre Jacinto came free, but Danilo Garcia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Borussia Dortmund MZB were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
