In the 4th match minute, Les diables noirs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raoul Levy to maneuver through the defense. 10 minutes into the match, Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's goal looked a bit too open when Gustave Pierrel came free, but Scott Stopar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Les diables noirs's Kevan Grange proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Les diables noirs from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wilfried Lépinay in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Scott Stopar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joey Weill hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Scott Stopar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jean-Yves Paturel went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Eymeric Laguerre charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eymeric Laguerre the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Les diables noirs getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Eymeric Laguerre hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Doyle Brunson in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kevan Grange saved Les diables noirs from getting behind. Bertil Bollström hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK defense, Gustave Pierrel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Scott Stopar. The Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Scott Stopar should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Les diables noirs's Moïse Ganivet got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Scott Stopar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jean-Yves Paturel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Scott Stopar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfried Lépinay, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wilfried Lépinay made a kick off. The supporters of Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK booed when Les diables noirs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moïse Ganivet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nils Vennersten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevan Grange having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jean-Yves Paturel in the 60th minute of play forced Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's goalkeeper Scott Stopar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Scott Stopar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilfried Lépinay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 68 minutes into the game, Jean-Yves Paturel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Scott Stopar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Jörn Vassenius hit a great ball. In the 74th minute Wilfried Lépinay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Scott Stopar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jean-Yves Paturel's late challenge caught a Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jean-Yves Paturel helped the player get up and apologised. In the 76th minute, Jean-Yves Paturel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Les diables noirs's Kevan Grange played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bertil Bollström in the 79th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfried Lépinay in the 81st minute of play forced Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's goalkeeper Scott Stopar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Les diables noirs's Kevan Grange played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doyle Brunson in the 83rd minute of play. After 85 played minutes Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK got a freekick which was hit by Doyle Brunson. 90 minutes into the game, Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK's Doyle Brunson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kevan Grange made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. After 93 minutes of play, Les diables noirs's Gustave Pierrel made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Scott Stopar was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 96th minute, Doyle Brunson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
