Enrique Garaona showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cayetano Ihintza in the 32nd minute of the match. When Silvano Gorbea fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atletico Los Andes's protests and gave Silvano Gorbea a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico Los Andes's Silvano Gorbea got a free kick in the 32nd minute. If Cayetano Ihintza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Club Atletico Los Andes's Enrique Garaona played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cayetano Ihintza in the 34th minute of play. Teodosio Guillen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carolo Ruisko having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Enrique Garaona made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cayetano Ihintza in the 51st minute. Nemesio Acuña's late challenge caught a Club Atletico Los Andes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nemesio Acuña helped the player get up and apologised. In the 64th match minute, Machine Gun Kelly was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nemesio Acuña to maneuver through the defense. Enrique Garaona came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Machine Gun Kelly's Cayetano Ihintza. But to his dismay, Cayetano Ihintza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Enrique Garaona was out of position in the 96 minute of play, and Moises Venceslas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Moises Venceslas really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3.
