Josué Granja had several of the Rossobianco's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 14 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Tang Cheng Zhen as he didn't even see the shot coming. After 18 played minutes Exército Português got a freekick which was hit by Josué Granja. Fidel Camerino's late challenge caught a Exército Português's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fidel Camerino helped the player get up and apologised. In the 19th minute, Fidel Camerino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raimundo Meira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Exército Português getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. António Pires hit a great ball. Isidro Alves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fidel Camerino, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Isidro Alves came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Rossobianco's Fidel Camerino. But to his dismay, Fidel Camerino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

52 minutes into the game, one of Rossobianco:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 53rd minute there was a penalty for Exército Português. Éder Prates stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Tang Cheng Zhen. 2-1. Isidro Alves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edelmiro Hartz in the 56th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Exército Português's Éder Prates got a free kick in the 58th minute. Exército Português's Isidro Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edelmiro Hartz in the 60th minute of play. When Moisés Valverde fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Exército Português's protests and gave Moisés Valverde a yellow card for diving instead. Moisés Valverde hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josué Granja in the 66th minute of play forced Rossobianco's goalkeeper Tang Cheng Zhen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Josué Granja in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tang Cheng Zhen saved Rossobianco from getting behind. In the 69th minute, Froilan Eliu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 70 minutes into the match, Exército Português's Mariano Almeida sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tang Cheng Zhen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Isidro Alves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo Gorri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 76th minute, Fidel Camerino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Isidro Alves was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Josué Granja received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Tang Cheng Zhen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Rossobianco's Gustavo Gorri got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Fidel Camerino struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Isidro Alves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rossobianco. Isidro Alves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edelmiro Hartz, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Fidel Camerino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isidro Alves having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Josué Granja's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tang Cheng Zhen was relentless in the 97th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Rossobianco's Gustavo Gorri got a free kick in the 98th minute.
