An unexpectedly hard shot by Emerson Lira in the 35th minute of play forced Ground Control's goalkeeper Josselin Portet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Laércio de Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sacha Amara in the 36th minute of the match. In the 38th match minute, Ground Control was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sofiane Donnat to maneuver through the defense. 42 minutes into the match, Cestarolli FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sacha Amara came free, but Laércio de Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Sylvain Chiffoleau fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ground Control's protests and gave Sylvain Chiffoleau a yellow card for diving instead. Sylvain Chiffoleau kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emerson Lira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ground Control's Sacha Amara got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Cestarolli FC booed when Ground Control was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sacha Amara didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Cestarolli FC's Laércio de Almeida got control of the ball when Thierry Fouet tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 86th minute, Sacha Amara reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Laércio de Almeida. The goal made the score 0-1. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ground Control eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
