Ward Raeymakers might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Freek Van Hoyvelt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ward Raeymakers ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Forza Heppenbach's Joery Bastiaens got a free kick in the 6th minute. Ludo Verstraeten made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Marco Jamieson sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marco Jamieson got free with Ludo Verstraeten in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 18 minutes into the match, Forza Heppenbach's goal looked a bit too open when Michael Verhaeghen came free, but Ludo Verstraeten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Forza Heppenbach's Ludo Verstraeten got control of the ball when Marco Jamieson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wouter Tielemans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Freek Van Hoyvelt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ludo Verstraeten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Verhaeghen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the game, SK Gullegem's Michael Verhaeghen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ludo Verstraeten made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marco Jamieson got free with Ludo Verstraeten in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 29th minute, Ward Raeymakers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 32 minutes into the match, Forza Heppenbach's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Jamieson came free, but Ludo Verstraeten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Jamieson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Ludo Verstraeten made a huge save. In the 42nd minute Michael Verhaeghen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ludo Verstraeten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dominic Vlimmens kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The crowd rose to their feet as Forza Heppenbach's Ward Raeymakers slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Freek Van Hoyvelt. That made the score 2-1 after 51 minutes of play. 55 minutes into the game, Ward Raeymakers was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Forza Heppenbach's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SK Gullegem the free kick. Ward Raeymakers hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. After 56 minutes, Michel Jamieson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SK Gullegem and the Forza Heppenbach players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to SK Gullegem getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Michel Jamieson hit a great ball. Freek Van Hoyvelt made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Dominic Vlimmens sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Dominic Vlimmens managed to get in a good position for a shot. Forza Heppenbach's supporters rose to their feet, but Dominic Vlimmens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Freek Van Hoyvelt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 67th minute, Theo Jamieson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 69th minute, Dominic Vlimmens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dominic Vlimmens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 76 minutes into the match, Forza Heppenbach's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Jamieson came free, but Ludo Verstraeten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute Michael Verhaeghen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ludo Verstraeten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guust de Pelsmaekers kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. After having played for 92 minutes, Ward Raeymakers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Forza Heppenbach's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ward Raeymakers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SK Gullegem fans cheered their team off the field, for while Forza Heppenbach had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
