Spectators: 7509 (Terracing: 5632, Seating: 1727, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Matías de Moraes kicked off to start the match. 4 minutes into the match, S.C. Corinthians Paulista's goal looked a bit too open when Virila Parra came free, but Luiz Fernando Figueiredo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 6th minute, Virila Parra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CD Municipal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Geraldo Ayaso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank dos Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the match, Blai Bedia notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Luiz Fernando Figueiredo. Luiz Fernando Figueiredo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luiz Fernando Figueiredo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blai Bedia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Virila Parra kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Luiz Fernando Figueiredo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Blai Bedia went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Luiz Fernando Figueiredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blai Bedia in the 36th minute of play. S.C. Corinthians Paulista were furious when Luís Fabiano da Costa was red carded, 36 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Ramón Gayday recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Diego da Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ermengol Cabrales was the one to do the kick off. Ramón Gayday hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Luiz Fernando Figueiredo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Virila Parra went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Ermengol Cabrales did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-5 to the left of a surprised Luiz Fernando Figueiredo 69 minutes into the match. Luiz Fernando Figueiredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blai Bedia in the 73rd minute of play. Richie Soto kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. A collision led to S.C. Corinthians Paulista getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Diego da Cunha hit a great ball. Adalberto Veloso struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Geraldo Ayaso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.C. Corinthians Paulista. Luiz Fernando Figueiredo was out of position in the 87 minute of play, and Ermengol Cabrales capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ermengol Cabrales really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. In the 90th minute Ermengol Cabrales shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fernando Figueiredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. CD Municipal's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
