Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mădălin Vintilescu to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Fc S.Zaharesti's Felix Ghizdeanu got a free kick in the 56th minute. Dan Potoroacă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Fernando Figueiredo having to interfere. Renatinho Ramalho kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Diego da Cunha got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 75th minute Dan Potoroacă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fernando Figueiredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
