Spectators: 7541 (Terracing: 5657, Seating: 1734, VIP seats: 150) Sidney Queirós came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by CD Municipal's Palle Tazon. But to his dismay, Palle Tazon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Pepe Saron was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 8 minutes into the match. After 8 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for CD Municipal! In the 9th minute there was a penalty for Miau Stars. Antônio Carlos Mello stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Geraldo Ayaso. 1-1. After a rather tough play, CD Municipal's Kemen Zalon got a free kick in the 11th minute. Geraldo Ayaso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maria Socorro in the 18th minute of play. Nilson Soares hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Nildo Ribeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. After 29 minutes, Alex Andrade mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Miau Stars and the CD Municipal players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Miau Stars getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Alex Andrade hit a great ball. Telmo Castejon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidney Queirós having to interfere. CD Municipal's Ponciano Bobis was substituted for Virila Parra. After 37 played minutes Miau Stars got a freekick which was hit by Jerônimo Neto. After 38 played minutes, CD Municipal's Ponciano Bobis shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sidney Queirós came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in CD Municipal reached it. Sidney Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Palle Tazon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Miau Stars's Sidney Queirós got control of the ball when Telmo Castejon tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sidney Queirós was out of position in the 45 minute of play, and Telmo Castejon capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Telmo Castejon really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Telmo Castejon to make the kick off. After 56 minutes, Nildo Ribeiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Miau Stars and the CD Municipal players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Miau Stars getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Nildo Ribeiro hit a great ball. Sidney Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Telmo Castejon in the 57th minute of play. The supporters of CD Municipal booed when Miau Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerônimo Neto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Miau Stars's goalkeeper Sidney Queirós, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Antônio Carlos Mello charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Antônio Carlos Mello the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gildo Dracena during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gildo Dracena hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. 66 minutes into the match, Maria Socorro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Geraldo Ayaso, 2-2. Sidney Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Palle Tazon in the 70th minute of play. 71 minutes into the match, CD Municipal's goal looked a bit too open when Maria Socorro came free, but Geraldo Ayaso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute, Miau Stars's Maria Socorro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. In the 80th minute of the match Kemen Zalon sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sidney Queirós skillfully saved the ball. In the 81st minute, Nilson Soares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Miau Stars's Alex Andrade pulled a muscle in his back after 82 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Palle Tazon during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Miau Stars's Aníbal Munhoz was substituted for Alex Andrade. Palle Tazon kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the match, Palle Tazon notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of Miau Stars's Sidney Queirós. Sidney Queirós was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dinei Carioca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geraldo Ayaso having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
