Spectators: 7415 (Terracing: 5595, Seating: 1715, VIP seats: 105) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Orçun Baloğlu got the match started through his kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as AC Milan's Fulvio Zulli slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mehmet Şefik Balcan. That made the score 1-0 after 3 minutes of play. When Fabio Ippoliti fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AC Milan's protests and gave Fabio Ippoliti a yellow card for diving instead. Amos Rosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orçun Baloğlu in the 6th minute of play. A collision led to Newells Old Boys getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Ahmet Arif Kutlay hit a great ball. Newells Old Boys's Mehmet Şefik Balcan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato Napoleoni in the 11th minute of play. Newells Old Boys's Mehmet Şefik Balcan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Newells Old Boys from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Newells Old Boys's Mehmet Şefik Balcan got control of the ball when Flavio Marra tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 24th minute Alkın Gökekin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amos Rosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the game, AC Milan's Fulvio Zulli nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mehmet Şefik Balcan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Mehmet Şefik Balcan made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Alvise Giannetta sent off a good shot on target. Comunardo Pedroni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Mehmet Şefik Balcan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Alvise Giannetta dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mehmet Şefik Balcan, 3-0. 44 minutes into the game, Fulvio Zulli recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mehmet Şefik Balcan. Fulvio Zulli showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fulvio Zulli made a kick off. Mehmet Şefik Balcan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvise Giannetta in the 54th minute of play. Mehmet Şefik Balcan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fulvio Zulli in the 60th minute of the match. The throw-in from Fabio Ippoliti in the 62nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Newells Old Boys's Oğuzalp Baştürk. Mehmet Şefik Balcan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fulvio Zulli in the 65th minute of play. In the 66th minute Donato Napoleoni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mehmet Şefik Balcan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 69 minutes into the match, Newells Old Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Fulvio Zulli came free, but Mehmet Şefik Balcan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Fabio Ippoliti in the 72nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Newells Old Boys's Oğuzalp Baştürk. In the 73rd minute, Donato Napoleoni made a precise shot to the right of Mehmet Şefik Balcan. Newells Old Boys's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. A collision led to AC Milan getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Alessio Farese hit a great ball. In the 87th minute, Fulvio Zulli left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AC Milan fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvise Giannetta in the 95th minute of play forced Newells Old Boys's goalkeeper Mehmet Şefik Balcan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 95 minutes, Ulu Özkutsal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Newells Old Boys and the AC Milan players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Newells Old Boys's Ulu Özkutsal got a free kick in the 96th minute. When the referee ended the match the AC Milan players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
