Spectators: 7443 (Terracing: 5583, Seating: 1712, VIP seats: 148) Froilan Havier made the kick off and thus started the match. Mehmet Şefik Balcan came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Real Cantera's Froilan Havier. But to his dismay, Froilan Havier quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Froilan Havier in the 8th minute of play forced Newells Old Boys's goalkeeper Mehmet Şefik Balcan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mehmet Şefik Balcan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elvio Ixidor, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Newells Old Boys's Mehmet Şefik Balcan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Froilan Havier in the 11th minute of play. Mehmet Şefik Balcan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aaron Indalecio in the 14th minute of the match. Mehmet Şefik Balcan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aaron Indalecio in the 16th minute of play. Mehmet Şefik Balcan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elvio Ixidor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Newells Old Boys's Ahmet Arif Kutlay got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After 23 played minutes, Club Real Cantera's Aaron Indalecio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mehmet Şefik Balcan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Club Real Cantera reached it. 27 minutes into the match, Newells Old Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Froilan Havier came free, but Mehmet Şefik Balcan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Froilan Havier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehmet Şefik Balcan having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Ulu Özkutsal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aaron Indalecio in the 36th minute of play forced Newells Old Boys's goalkeeper Mehmet Şefik Balcan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elvio Ixidor in the 37th minute of play forced Newells Old Boys's goalkeeper Mehmet Şefik Balcan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Cevahir Boz fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Newells Old Boys's protests and gave Cevahir Boz a yellow card for diving instead. Cevahir Boz hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Mehmet Şefik Balcan came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Club Real Cantera's Aaron Indalecio. But to his dismay, Aaron Indalecio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Orçun Baloğlu made the kick off in the second half. Newells Old Boys's Mehmet Şefik Balcan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Newells Old Boys from getting a goal against them. Mehmet Şefik Balcan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Froilan Havier in the 71st minute. Mehmet Şefik Balcan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elvio Ixidor in the 72nd minute of play. After 75 minutes, Zikri Temizcan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Newells Old Boys and the Club Real Cantera players grew even worse after the yellow card. Zikri Temizcan kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Astor Torres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alkın Gökekin in the 80th minute of the match. Club Real Cantera's Gregorio Arias managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Hacı Hastimur in the 84 minute of the game. If Froilan Havier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 96 played minutes Club Real Cantera got a freekick which was hit by Froilan Havier. Club Real Cantera played a much better game than Newells Old Boys and deserved their victory. The Newells Old Boys players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
