Geraldo Ayaso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clemente Teles, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Geraldo Ayaso came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's Diego Barros. But to his dismay, Diego Barros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 11th minute, Palle Tazon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CD Municipal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Geraldo Ayaso made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Clemente Teles sent off a good shot on target. Geraldo Ayaso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roger Melo in the 20th minute of the match. Ermengol Cabrales took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roger de Souza. Roger de Souza dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. 25 minutes into the match, Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Palle Tazon came free, but Roger de Souza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Geraldo Ayaso came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's Diego Barros. But to his dismay, Diego Barros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. The supporters of Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ booed when CD Municipal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pepe Saron didn't get a good kick on the ball. CD Municipal were furious when Virila Parra was red carded, 33 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. When the match had been going on for 34 minutes, Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's Pedro Luís Porto got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Geraldo Ayaso. A collision led to Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Wen Ying Di hit a great ball. Ramón Gayday took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 38th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Roger de Souza. Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Clemente Teles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Geraldo Ayaso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

CD Municipal's Geraldo Ayaso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clemente Teles in the 53rd minute of play. Wen Ying Di hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Ramón Gayday from long distance, 55 minutes into the match, got Roger de Souza's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Geraldo Ayaso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roger Melo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pepe Saron hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. After 82 played minutes Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Luís Porto. A collision led to Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Wen Ying Di hit a great ball. Diego Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geraldo Ayaso having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Bento Arberas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Clemente Teles during the 97th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 97th match minute, Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clemente Teles to maneuver through the defense.
