When Diego Barros came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diego Barros couldn't finish the play. Rômulo Camargo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clemente Teles in the 11th minute of play. Rômulo Camargo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Clemente Teles went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. With a little luck, Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's Roger de Souza got control of the ball when Pedro Luiz Souto tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ booed when Barra EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dudu Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Diego Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rômulo Camargo having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Clemente Teles made a precise shot to the right of Rômulo Camargo. Barra EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Roger de Souza made an important save on a dangerous shot by André Luís de Amaral in the 25th minute. Pedro Luiz Souto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roger Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rômulo Camargo having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Barra EC's Henrique Gomes seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Henrique Gomes the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Barra EC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Henrique Gomes had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Barra EC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 36th minute. Penalty! Diego Barros struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Rômulo Camargo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ. After a rather tough play, Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's Valdo Paraíba got a free kick in the 44th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

With a little luck, Barra EC's Rômulo Camargo got control of the ball when Pedro Luís Porto tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Clemente Teles kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rômulo Camargo. That made the score 0-5 in the 59 minute of play. Clemente Teles came free with the goalkeeper in the 66th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Rômulo Camargo could save by the left post. Diego Barross short, quick shot in the 75thth minute got Rômulo Camargo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Diego Barros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Rômulo Camargo made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's Roger Melo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rômulo Camargo. That made the score 0-8 after 80 minutes of play. In the 87th match minute, Barra EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Luiz Souto to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Diego Barros's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rômulo Camargo was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. Diego Barros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
