After 14 minutes of play, LIVIUS UNITED MLS's Valeriu Aanuţei made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Geraldo Ayaso was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 17th match minute, CD Municipal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ermengol Cabrales to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iustin Gorcea in the 20th minute of play forced CD Municipal's goalkeeper Geraldo Ayaso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Alecu's late challenge caught a CD Municipal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristian Alecu helped the player get up and apologised. Cristian Alecu hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Ionică Verzea made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Ermengol Cabrales sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the CD Municipal defense, Cezar Chibulcutean kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Geraldo Ayaso. The CD Municipal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Geraldo Ayaso should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iustin Gorcea in the 39th minute of play forced CD Municipal's goalkeeper Geraldo Ayaso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes into the game, LIVIUS UNITED MLS's Iustin Gorcea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Geraldo Ayaso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 45th match minute, CD Municipal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bento Arberas to maneuver through the defense. 46 minutes into the game, Iustin Gorcea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Geraldo Ayaso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

A collision led to CD Municipal getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Palle Tazon hit a great ball. Geraldo Ayaso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valeriu Aanuţei in the 80th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iustin Gorcea in the 85th minute of play forced CD Municipal's goalkeeper Geraldo Ayaso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lapurdi Collazo hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. In the 89th minute, Nichifor Mumuleanu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Geraldo Ayaso. The goal made the score 2-5. Geraldo Ayaso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valeriu Aanuţei in the 94th minute of play. Geraldo Ayaso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valeriu Aanuţei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The CD Municipal fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. LIVIUS UNITED MLS were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
