The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to CD Municipal getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Burutzagi Romero hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Palle Tazon kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benjamin Bieito. That made the score 1-0 in the 14 minute of play. Palle Tazon kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 21st minute Bartolo Salomon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geraldo Ayaso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ermengol Cabrales in the 22nd minute of play forced La Tribuna Tambien Juega's goalkeeper Benjamin Bieito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Geraldo Ayaso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geronimo Ignazio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the match, La Tribuna Tambien Juega's goal looked a bit too open when Lapurdi Collazo came free, but Benjamin Bieito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. La Tribuna Tambien Juega's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ramón Gayday ran over to the corner to take the kick. Geronimo Ignazio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute, Palle Tazon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CD Municipal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.
