An unexpectedly hard shot by Mikolas Ariztimuño in the 14th minute of play forced Kurdistan CF's goalkeeper Melker Söderkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th match minute, ¢σи єℓ вσℓѕσ иσ ¢σмρєтιѕ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Su Cabrero to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute, ¢σи єℓ вσℓѕσ иσ ¢σмρєтιѕ's Reimundo Ceja seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Reimundo Ceja the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of ¢σи єℓ вσℓѕσ иσ ¢σмρєтιѕ protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Reimundo Ceja had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 24th minute, Reimundo Ceja hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Karl-Ove Sandström shot from long distance after 24 played minutes, a shot that Luís Mejia with certain difficulty stopped from going in under the crossbar. In the 29th minute Hori Belo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melker Söderkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Patrick Österberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Luís Mejia made a huge save. The supporters of Kurdistan CF booed when ¢σи єℓ вσℓѕσ иσ ¢σмρєтιѕ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Su Cabrero didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute, Kurdistan CF's Kennet Skålberg dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. When Froilan Guibar came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the ¢σи єℓ вσℓѕσ иσ ¢σмρєтιѕ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Froilan Guibar couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when John Kämpe made the kick off in the second half. Luís Mejia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John Kämpe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernabel Iruleta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luís Mejia came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Kurdistan CF's John Kämpe. But to his dismay, John Kämpe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Antonio Galeano hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 63rd minute, John Kämpe made a precise shot to the right of Luís Mejia. ¢σи єℓ вσℓѕσ иσ ¢σмρєтιѕ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. The audience was convinced that Kennet Skålberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luís Mejia was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Bernabel Iruleta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Froilan Guibar might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Melker Söderkvist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Froilan Guibar ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 95th minute Patrick Österberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Mejia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Kurdistan CF had won after a very even match.
