Terence Quinn was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 15th minute. Charlotte FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 17 played minutes Charlotte FC got a freekick which was hit by Terence Quinn. 刘轩超's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jessie Amos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Jessie Amos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 汪林荣, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 刘轩超 struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Jessie Amos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A collision led to Charlotte FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Percy Mahoney hit a great ball. 36 minutes into the match, 汪林荣 notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Charlotte FC's Jessie Amos. Jessie Amos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. It was a very nice shot. In the 47th minute, 汪林荣 ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jessie Amos was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 汪林荣 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 60 played minutes 汪林荣 rounded Charlotte FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-4. In the 63rd minute, 刘轩超 ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jessie Amos was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. 66 minutes into the match, 汪林荣 had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jessie Amos. Charlotte FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that 汪林荣 was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. After 69 played minutes 汪林荣 rounded Charlotte FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-7. Ruben Romano kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Jessie Amos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from 温升远 went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-8 was the resulting score. 汪林荣 might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jessie Amos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. 汪林荣 ran back to his position shaking his head. 刘轩超 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 刘轩超 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Jessie Amos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jessie Amos was a little too slow when 汪林荣 got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 89th minute. The score was now 0-9. In the 96th minute, 温升远 got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 98 played minutes Charlotte FC got a freekick which was hit by Genaro Zepeda.
